The Empress

Thanks to Andrea Green, she gives the meaning and journal tip for this week!

The Empress is the card of nature, growth, slow and gradual natural change, patience, pregnancy, harvests, the seasons passing, and life itself.

She can be compared with the other female cards in the Major Arcana, for example, the World card is how Nature appears to us, and the Star card is hidden nature. The Empress is the goddess, the power and patterns behind everything.

This card means that all things are due in time, and may also be compared to the Queen of Pentacles, another very nature-based card. It carries a similar meaning of nurturing, of compassion and care. Both are cards of the mother and motherhood.

If it appears in a past position, that time of growth has passed, and nothing new will arise; it is time to seek a new field to seed, nurture and harvest.

Journal Exercise & Insiders Tip

When reading, we can weave an interpretation from all the individual symbols on a card – even doing a very deep and detailed one-card reading!

Here’s how we would do it on the Empress card, and then for your journal this week, why not try it with one of the other cards, or one you pull for a real question?

Full-Grown Wheat: “What you have planned and seeded, worked so hard to accomplish, has now come to happen – it is time to take the fruit of your work. In a way, it is up to you to now harvest and reap what you have sown. Take time to enjoy this pause in your hard work”.

Venus Symbol: “Everything is coming together, perhaps even a romantic or equal partnership – the circle and the cross – the active and the passive. It is all happening in its own good time and good things will grow from this union”.

Shield: “You are protected, and can be assured that there is safety in what is happening. Everything is being taken care of, so go for the enjoyment of the ride”.

Couch/Cushion: “Relax and sink into what is happening, don’t fight it. Take time to rest and recover, as things go their own course. Don’t meddle or interfere at this point, there is no need to do anything other than sit back”.

Sceptre: “Whilst you are the cause of what is happening, you should pull back from adding any more into the mix. There is a time to be regal and take the high ground, and this is it – there is no need to keep digging or working!”

Crown of Stars: “Everything will happen in time, and you should have patience, with an eye to the fates and fortunes of the stars. What you have set in motion is now flowing to a conclusion, let it happen”.

Waterfall: “Again, there is a flow and a torrent of things coming to a head, so the less you are involved at this late stage, the better”.

Where else can you see symbols on the Empress?

How would this apply to a job question? A relationship question?

Now try this with another card!

Today’s Tarot Card is The Wheel of Fortune!

Meaning:

The Wheel of Fortune arriving in your Tarot is a reminder that the planet of luck Jupiter is on your side. The Wheel of Fortune also has symbolism rich in the Fixed Signs of the zodiac. So you may also get a message pertaining one of the Fixed Signs, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius, or Taurus. When the Wheel of Fortune arrives in your day, it is a very optimistic wave of Jupiter’s magic wand. It is always a good omen to see the Wheel of Fortune, as your luck is truly taking a turn, and in the most positive and beneficial way. All of your karma is coming back to you, and you can expect good rewards when the Wheel of Fortune arrives. This is not something that you have to do, and no action is required on your part. Rather, this is something that is happening to you, or an external event that changes things in your favor. And expect things to happen quickly when it does!

Symbolism:

When you see the Wheel of Fortune arrive in your reading, know that you are being offered a message of karmic hope, and things are about to take a turn. Here we have the famous wheel of fortune, symbolized by the fixed signs of the zodiac (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius), spinning in your favor. This card is denoted by the number 10, which in the Tarot represents a completed cycle. Destiny and karma are turning in your favor when the Wheel of Fortune arrives. Expect some information of good luck to come your way, and for the forces of nature to finally turn in your favor. This is not an action card. But rather, the message of this card is that to just…wait for it. Your karmic reward is well on its way.

Today’s Tarot Card is The Sun!

Meaning:

When you see The Sun appear in your Tarot reading or in your Daily Tarot, then you know it’s going to be a great day! The Sun is shining on you! This day is the summer of your life, and the Sun embodies success, abundance, and an optimistic feel to the situation that can not be matched by anything else. Success is not just probable, it is inevitable. There is confidence aligned with this bright picture. Like the child on top of the horse, you are on top of the world, and victory is yours for the taking. This is also not an internal success. This is the kind of success that the world sees, and admires. You and your life and the situation at hand is indeed enlightened, and the abundance or prosperity you seek in this situation will soon surround you like the beautiful flowers in this card.

Symbolism:

The Sun is one of the happiest cards in the Tarot, if not the happiest one to see in any reading. It almost doesn’t matter where the Sun falls in a reading, if it appears, it’s always a good omen in any position or placement. This is a bright card that has the Sun as the biggest symbol on it. There are flowers growing that symbolize abundance and joy, and the abundance that comes from having light in your world. A child decorated with the wreath of laurels that signify success plays on a white horse that represents purity, joy, and innocence. A bright orange wreath suggests action and movement will occur in the situation that will have you feeling like you are on top of the world. You may create this action, or something wonderful may simply find its way to you. In any event, the Sun is definitely shining on you and your situation.

Today’s Tarot Card is the King of Cups!

Meaning:

When the King of Cups arrives, the message is a very positive one of love. Someone may enter your day with a big heart and a lot of love and support for you. It could be an older male, or it could be one of the Water Signs. There is a generous and loving spirit in play when you see this card, and this card brings the promise that the love you are looking for in life is around you. It may be someone that you aren’t expecting, or it may just be a family member that will make an appearance in your day. This is not a short lived love, but one that fills and completes you, even if it is not a romantic love.

Symbolism:

When we see the King of Cups in the Tarot, we are being told that an older man with a big heart will make an appearance in our day. It may not necessarily be an older male, but it will be someone with the love that symbolizes that of an older male. It could be a father figure, or someone that simply has the love that a father figure would. Cups represent Water Signs, and so this could be a message of a Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio entering your day to help you with a key emotional matter. You may also just be getting the message with this card that someone cares very deeply about you. This is an emotionally balanced love that you do not need to question. And these feelings will be there for some time, as this King has all of the love in the world to offer, and isn’t going anywhere.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Ace of Wands!

Phew, better card today!

Meaning:

The Ace of Wands is a message from Universe that you are attracting the qualities of the Wands in an area of your life today. There will be a new beginning or the potential of a new beginning offered in an experience for you today, and it will be marked by enthusiasm, creativity, passion, and excitement. It carries with it a sense of adventure, and a spring like bounce to your step. If you are thinking of starting something new, like a new relationship or job, this card is a very good omen. Expect a message or an invitation to arrive in your day unexpectedly and out of the blue when you see this card.

Symbolism:

The Ace of Wands is a wonderful omen to see in any reading. It symbolizes new beginnings of many kinds, particularly those that are in the creative or passionate pursuits of life! This is a new beginning that is going to happen quickly, and is going to come out of the blue. This is not one you actively need to pursue, the hand coming from the clouds with a beautiful glowing wand symbolizes this gift coming to you. The new beginnings most often associated with this card are new relationships, a first date, travel plans, or an exciting new opportunity or project in the creative fields.

Today’s Tarot Card is the Four of Pentacles!

Meaning:

The message from the 4 of Pentacles when it arrives in your day is that you are hanging onto something out of fear. There’s nothing wrong with that. We all hang onto things for fear of losing them. This is not an action card, but a card of you pulling everything close to your vest in an effort to maintain control and stability. It often takes great discipline to do so, and so the theme of discipline is also present in your day when you see this card. When this card appears, the message is to have a look at your environment and what you are so afraid of losing. It may not be a bad idea to relax your way about life, as this card brings the message that you have nothing to worry about at all.

Symbolism:

In the 4 of Pentacles we see a man sitting down and holding onto 4 pentacles as if they are his last source of abundance. In a way, they are. This is a man that is fearful of loss. This could be a fear over losing a relationship, fear over losing status, fear over losing a job, or fear over losing money. The symbolism of this card shows the man tightly holding onto these things, worried that they are slowly going to be ungripped from his hands. When this card appears in your day, you are clinging onto security for dear life. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes we need to keep things close to our chest for security reasons.

Today’s Tarot Card!

Meaning:

Tied directly to the zodiac sign Gemini, the Lovers card is often about a big decision at hand. When The Lovers appear in a reading about either work or love, the message is, follow your heart, your instinct is not fooling you at this time. This card says, it is safe to proceed with the decision that is pulling at your heartstrings the most. It’s important to take all parties into account when you meet The Lovers, as feeding your own Ego will backfire. But, when you do, know that peace and harmony will prevail in your very own Garden of Eden.

Symbolism:

Decisions are always paramount when you see The Lovers appear, as this card is directly connected to the zodiac sign Gemini, and the constant decisions they face. This is a beautiful card that represents the harmony and peace found in the Garden of Eden. But we see not one but two lovers in this card, suggesting there is a choice in play that could change your life. Most of the time this card appears in relationship spreads, thus signifying decisions in love are the theme of your reading. Sometimes it could be a major work decision too. You may be asked to relocate from an area that you love deeply, or that brings you peace. Or you may be forced to choose between work and love, or forced to choose two jobs, one that will bring in money, and one that brings in joy and happiness. What you choose, depends on you. This card is usually a sign that it’s safe to follow your heart here.

Signs from the Afterlife

One of the most common ways our passed loved ones let us know they’re still with us is by signs. Signs can be virtually anything and everything in a situation where these gifts seem a little out of place. Anything from birds and butterflies to coins, (from one of my loved ones, I get paper clips, toothpicks, and bobby-pins).

My Grandmother passed away this past December and we were very, very close. At 94, she still saw my children on a regular basis and spoiled them with love and attention. She would play with them the whole time we were there. She would stay with us or with my Mom and we’d have wonderful sleepovers and stay up to the wee hours just talking and laughing. My Nan was just so much more than a Grandmother, she was my best friend. My whole life we talked daily. She was incredibly close to both my children.

And we were so incredibly blessed to have this beautiful bond with her.

When she passed, she was in great health and wasn’t deteriorating a bit. She ended up passing of pneumonia and it was unexpected even though she was 94.

This morning friends had a mass said for her and we all received a beautiful sign from her and two other loved ones that they’re together again and still with us here!

These are the signs that our loved ones send us. I always tell my clients through mediumship messages what their loved ones say they’ve sent and what’s been them. Try not to dismiss these wonderful gifts. You’ll know it’s them when you initially feel it in the trunk area of your body aka chakras 3-6, before your ego or logical mind tries to explain it away. Thank them and remember only the wonderful.

May the magic of this world make your day a bit brighter and lighter!

Crystal Grids

I absolutely love crystals, stones, and geodes. I use them in my psychic and mediumship practice and let their high vibration wash over me during meditation, channeling, and even when I’m going to sleep. I firmly believe that the stones, some are millions of years old, can absolutely change the way we feel, how we handle stress and anxiety and hire our vibration. They can help to achieve connection with the spirit world and just so much more. Stones and crystals have a life of their own. Just as plants are alive so to our Crystals. And for the millions of different crystals out there, each one has a specific purpose to help us. Today I’d like to talk about Crystal grids and how combining high vibrational crystals and certain geometric patterns can create an incredible powerful source. Now if your novice, not to worry because you can start a crystal grid with readily available and inexpensive stones such as clear quartz, amethyst, and rose quartz. Clear quartz is a wonderful amplifier. It will boost the energy of the other stones around it. Amethyst, is a stone that reduces stress and anxiety, Has a calming affect on the body and is also a good aid in communicating with your higher self, angels/spirit guides and passed loved ones. Rose quartz, is known as the crystal of love. It is usually a light pink color, you can purchase them as a polished tumble stone, I myself like to work with raw Stones as much as possible. It’s definitely a preference so if raw is not your thing, used the polished ones. 😊 I like the feeling of the grittiness the natural state of the stone and not having it changed by human hands. There are plenty of wonderful crystal grids you can find on Google for free. Just download the image and print it out and stack your crystals the way you like. In the picture above I’m using the spiral, also known as the golden ratio. Fibonacci Spiral is a spiral that contains the golden ratio.  Which means that for every 1/4 turn the spiral makes, it gets wider or away from the origin by a factor of Phi (1.618) The spiral is a symbol of continual growth.  It represents Kundalini energy and spiritual development. I decided to use this to enhance my channeling and meditation I have used two Keystones which are the big blue Celestine in the middle and at the end of the spiral. Usually only one keystone is used but I felt intuitively to use two. It radiates all of that pure energy within and outward.

Looking at the grid I created, you’ll see the stones I used for the keystone is blue celestite. This stone is amazing for connecting with angels and past love ones aand heightening your vibration. Even though I placed the major celestite on the outside (at the end of the spiral) I placed the other one in the middle and I started from there. I went counter clockwise by placing second keystone in the middle and then the next stone that I added was clear quartz, after clear quartz I added amethyst, and in between each stone I have added a clear quartz which are wonderful amplifiers for this whole grid. So after amethyst, I used lapis lazuli and then amazonite. So if you look at it it is from the middle outwards, it is blue celestite, clear quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, lapis lazuli, clear quartz, Amazonite, clear quartz and so on all the way until I get to that outer keystone piece. I was also guided to add selenite to the other 3 corners outside the grid. You can take a look at my picture for this particular crystal grid and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask! I hope you have as much fun with crystals as I do and I will be doing more posts on the different high vibrational crystals that I come across. It’s just amazing what these stones and grids can do for you during meditation , mediumship or any other divinatory tool used in your practice.

Today’s Tarot Card Reading

Meaning:

The High Priestess is a reminder that you don’t know everything in a situation. It is possible that someone is withholding the information from you, or that you have not been given all of the facts. You are seeing this card which means you are the one that needs to employ your own devices to get to the truth of the matter. The High Priestess is very spiritual, but not bogged down by fantasy, she deals with facts, but you may not have them all at this time. This is not an action card, but a passive, mulling it over card, and you may have the answers within.

Symbolism:

The High Priestess sits on her throne surrounded by the truth. But, if you look closely, she is veiled and sitting pretty. This card says there is a lot to the situation that does not exactly meet the eye. She is a mysterious one! When the High Priestess appears, know that there is more to the situation that you are unaware of. Secrets are paramount when this card appears, and you are best to go within to seek answers. With secrets playing a role here, know there is much happening behind the scenes of your situation that you are unaware of, and a female energy may be at the center of it all.
