Celebrating This month’s Full Moon
This month’s full moon appears on Friday, 23rd November.
It is often called a Beaver Moon as it was at this time of year that Beaver hunters set their traps. But it is also sometimes called a Mourning Moon. As this moon follows the celebration of Samhain, those following The Path of the Seasons, may find it a good time to direct the energy of this particular moon towards a period of conscious grieving.
We tend to think of grieving in relation to the big events in our lives, such as a death of a loved one, or a relationship split etc, but in actual fact, our psyches encounter a mini grieving process every time we experience change.
Grieving is something we tend to avoid; it can feel unpleasant at best and dreadfully painful at worst, but it is sometimes good to allow ourselves time to do this in order to stop such emotion rising unexpectedly and affecting our behaviour in negative and inappropriate ways.
1. Fill a glass or chalice with water and place it on a windowsill that faces the full moon in the sky.
2. Facing the window, contemplate the moon and as you draw its energy towards you, direct your
attention to whatever change you may have recently experienced – particularly that associated with whatever you decided to release at Samhain.
3. When you are ready, take a few sips of the water and then allow yourself a short period 10 – 15 mins of quiet where you allow yourself to grieve. If you find this difficult, ask the Moon to help you.
Those of you who work with Tarot may find it helpful to prop the Moon card up against the Chalice or somewhere where it can clearly be seen.
4. If you feel that you need more time to reap the benefit of this, then keep hold of the moon-imbued water and use it throughout the month to help you enter the necessary space for this process to take place.

It is a primary ore of copper mixed with iron, and its form can be massive or it may also occur as tiny crystals with other stones such as Calcite or Fluorite.
Its color is brassy yellow or gold when polished as a tumble stone. It tarnishes easily, so be aware it may not stay that golden color.
Note: This is not the same stone as Peacock Ore also known as Bornite, even though they have similar chemical structures.
Chalcopyrite is CuFeS2 and Bornite is Cu5FeS4. They do not have the same healing qualities.
The stone that I am writing about here has a stronger action at the higher chakras than Peacock Rock, so make sure you get the right stone, as some retailers are selling them as the same stone.
